- What should I bring to my first appointment?
- Your paperwork, insurance card, co-pay and any x-rays, MRI's or CT scans.
- How do I get my medical records?
- Fill out a written request that states we have permission to release your records. Fax the completed form to 303-225-8130 or e-mail the completed form to wreasoner@spineclinic.com for Dr. Prusmacks records request, cyoung@spineclinic.com for Dr. Jamrich records request, or smoore@spineclinic.com for Dr. Barker records requests. Once the form is received, the records are processed and forwarded according to your completed form. Please allow two weeks.
- How do I get a refill on my medication?
- Call your pharmacy and request a refill. Your pharmacy will call our refill line. The refill line is for pharmacy's only. If it is a written prescription, call 303-225-8120, select your doctor from the menu and leave a message for his nurse/medical assistant.
- What insurance plans do you accept?
- We accept all insurance plans except Kaiser and Medicaid.
- Are you currently accepting new patients?
- Yes. Call 303-225-8120 for an appointment or request an appointment online.
- Do I need a referral?
- Some insurance plans, mainly HMO's, still do require a referral from your primary care physician. Most PPO plans do not require a referral. Please check your insurance card or contact your insurance company if in doubt.
- What will surgery cost?
- This amount will vary depending on your insurance plan and type of surgery you are going to have. We have billing staff on-site to help with any questions.
- How long will I be in the hospital?
- It depends on the type of surgery. Some surgeries are done on an outpatient basis and some do require a short hospital stay. Discuss this with your doctor.
- Can I shower after surgery?
- Yes, but only if your incision is fully covered. The incision needs to stay dry.
- Do I need to set up home healthcare before I have surgery?
- The hospital will take care of setting up home healthcare, if needed.
- Is it normal to have a sore throat or pain swallowing after cervical surgery?
- Yes. There will be mild discomfort for two to six weeks after cervical surgery.
- Do I need antibiotics after surgery when I go to the dentist?
- Antibiotics are prescribed by the dentist if appt is within six months of any cervical or lumbar fusion.
